Mike Coppinger and Bernardo Osuna discuss what happened to Manny Pacquiao's loss in Yordenis Urgas' unanimous decision. (1:20).
LAS VEGAS -- Manny Pacquiao is seen in the ring, his sunglasses covering his freshly-stitched face. While the shades help Pacquiao to avoid being detected by his battered eyes he cannot evade the question that is confronting him.
Is this the end of it all?
Yordenis Ugas may have been able to help him clarify his answer as he won a clear win over Pacquiao on Saturday night. It was different against Keith Thurman two years ago when Pacquiao won the fourth world title at just 147 pounds.
Pacquiao, however, was slower than Ugas. He used his feet and hands to make Ugas look slow. He looked old. His punches were weak. Pacquiao's legendary movement was lost. After 77 pro fights, how could he? He is looking down at his 43rd Birthday.
Pacquiao realizes that time always wins in the end and takes a moment for himself to reflect on the consequences. He apologizes for his performance, and for the loss to the fans. Pacquiao claims that his legs were so tight that it was difficult to prepare on short notice.

Pacquiao said at the postfight press conference, "In my heart I want [to] continue fighting." "But I must also consider my body."
He adds, "When our lives are over in this world, there is nothing we can do." "This is my passion. This is why I am still fighting at 42 years old." It's a great sport that I enjoy, but you also have to consider the longevity of your body.
Pacquiao said that the final decision about his future fighting career will be made in another day. Pacquiao is considering a run for president in the Philippines where he is a sitting senator. His thoughts right now are on boxing, which is the sport he has dedicated his entire life to.
Even though Saturday's result was not in his favor, Pacquiao's legacy is as secure as ever. With a career that spans four decades, Pacquiao has been at the top in the sport. He is a champion in eight weight categories.
play 2:13 Pacquiao - There's a 60%/40 chance that I will retire after my loss to Ugas Manny Pacquiao informs Bernardo Osuna that he is considering retiring after his loss to Yordenis Ugas by unanimous decision.
In 2003, a decisive victory over Marco Antonio Barrera marked his rise to superstar status. Four years later, he defeated Barrera again to add to his two victories over Erik Morales. He won two more victories against Juan Manuel Marquez, and two against Timothy Bradley Jr. -- all current or future hall-of-fameers.
These are only the fighters that he has multiple wins over. Pacquiao's greatest achievement was undoubtedly the 2009 destruction of Miguel Cotto. Ricky Hatton's one-punch knockout. The jaw-dropping win over Antonio Margarito. Pacquiao's one victory is the most important, even after all these years.
Pacquiao said that "De La Hoya" was referring to Oscar De La Hoya's 2008 defeat. "Because I went up in weight from 135 to147, which is really difficult to achieve."
That can be said about almost everything Pacquiao did in a boxing ring. Pacquiao, despite all his accomplishments, championships and signature wins will always be compared to Floyd Mayweather.
Pacquiao expressed his disappointment in Mayweather's performance. "We wanted [to] satisfy the] expectations of fans."
Pacquiao exclaimed, "It's that," pointing up to show his expectations. He said, "But the fight's like this," and lowered his hands towards his lap. "I feel sorry because my concern for others is not just my own; it is also the concern of the fans. Boxing is my passion so I enjoy doing it for the fans."
The primary difference between their legacies is Mayweather's 2015 defeat. The fight was also uncompetitive. You could argue Pacquiao was not at his peak, but Mayweather, despite being two-years older, was the younger fighter. Also, consider the torn rotator tendon Pacquiao had to deal with when he entered the fight.
Their 2015 fight broke all revenue records and raised Pacquiao’s profile. Although Mayweather won the fight, it was possible to argue that Pacquiao's long-term success would have allowed him to build a greater overall rsum than Mayweather.
Here's what Pacquiao did after that historic fight: A TKO victory over Lucas Matthysse, Pacquiao’s only finish since that Cotto fight, and wins over Jessie Vargas and Thurman. Pacquiao was able to score knockdowns in all three fights. This proves that he is still a powerful fighter at the end of his career.
After his third fight against Bradley, Pacquiao announced in the ring that it was his retirement. This was April 2016. Yet, he was there on Saturday night in April 2016, five years after that.
Two years later, Mayweather was defeated by Conor McGregor in a novelty bout. Pacquiao won the fight and beat Thurman. Thurman was an undefeated champion welterweight with real chops.

However, this time, Ugas lost to it and it looks like the end should be next.
Pacquiao has been a fighter who has changed so much over the years, and this may be his final fight. Pacquiao was a relentless opponent when he rose to the top in the pound for pound rankings in the 2000s. He was not only brutal in the ring, but he also displayed a calm demeanor outside the ring.
Blinding hand speed. He glided around the ring, delivering his two-fisted attack using five-, six and seven-punch combinations. His courage against Morales in their first encounter. His remarkable recovery from Marquez's shocking knockout defeat. For the majority of the last 20 years, Pacquiao has been associated with boxing.
Perhaps there has never been a fighter more loved by the public. Even Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson had their detractors in their glory days. Pacquiao is a man who can smile a lot and punch hard the next.
This is it, Manny Pacquiao. You made boxing fun. You made boxing great. You made boxing inspiring.
