Sheryl Sandberg stated that she believed the Capitol attack was being planned on other platforms than Facebook.
According to Reuters, the FBI has found no evidence that the attack was part of an organized plot.
Parler now seeks an apology from Sandberg, and other people who used it as a scapegoat.

According to George Farmer, Parler owes an apology
Insider received a statement from the "free speech" social-media app, which claimed it had been mistreated following the January 6 Capitol riot.
This statement was made after Reuters published a Friday report that said that the FBI had not found evidence that the attack against the Capitol was part of a planned, organized plot. Four current and former law enforcement officers were cited by the outlet.

Parler stated that "in other words," there is no evidence to support the rush to judgment and accusations made by many, including Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO. Sheryl Sandberg claimed that the January 6 events were the result of coordinated efforts on the up-and-coming social-media platforms Parler and Gab.
Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook's COO, stated in an interview that Facebook had not been used to plan the attack. She pointed to smaller platforms such as Parler and Gab.
Sandberg stated that "I believe these events were largely organised on platforms which don't possess our capabilities to stop hate, haven't adhered to our standards and haven't shown our transparency."
Farmer stated that the Reuters report revealed Parler and Gab had been "unjustly scapegoated."
Farmer stated, "Although we didn't see any evidence of coordination in Parler earlier this year," Farmer explained.
"We owe an apology to everyone who has rushed to judge Parler, especially our competitors and service providers who should know better. Perhaps financial restitution is possible from some.
