Threat from Hurricane Henri forces the Northern Trust to Monday finish

JERSEY CITY (N.J.) -- Due to Hurricane Henri, the final round of Northern Trust's tournament will be postponed until Monday.
Saturday's announcement by the PGA Tour was that Sunday would not see any golf at Liberty National, which is home to the FedEx Cup playoff events, was made. The damage to the course will be evaluated Sunday and the tee times announced for the final round in the afternoon.

"Based on Tropical Storm Henri's projected path and the Tropical Storm Warning issued by the National Hurricane Center in the area where the Northern Trust are located, there will not be any play on Sunday," said the tour in a statement.

Late Saturday morning, the National Hurricane Center issued an advisory upgrading Henri to a hurricane from a tropical storm

The PGA Tour will do everything possible to play every hole, even if it is not possible. The BMW Championship, the next playoff event, will be played on Thursday in Baltimore.

The tour has yet to confirm, but it is possible that threesomes will play off both the 10th and the first tees in the final round. According to the tour, tee times will not start before 7:30 a.m. ET.
