According to Mike Singer, the Denver Post, Paul Millsap, a free-agent veteran power forward, is being sought by the Brooklyn Nets and Golden State Warriors.

Millsap, 36, has been a part of 15 NBA seasons. He suited up for the Denver Nuggets his last four. In 2020-21, Millsap averaged 9.0 points and 47.6 percent shooting. He also had 4.7 rebounds per game.

For the Nuggets team that made it to the second round in the NBA playoffs, he played 36 of 56 regular-season matches.

After being selected 47th in the 2006 draft, Millsap started his career with the Utah Jazz. Through 2013, Millsap remained in Salt Lake City, where he played on several successful playoff teams with Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams.

In 2013, he signed in free agency with the Atlanta Hawks and was named to the All-Star Team in each of his four seasons. Millsap's greatest year was 2014-15, when he led the Hawks to a record of 60-22 and the No. Millsap was the Eastern Conference's No. 1 seed.

Atlanta made it all the way to conference finals. They lost to LeBron James's Cleveland Cavaliers.

After the 2016-17 season, the Hawks team disintegrated and Millsap was transferred to Denver. There, he helped transform a franchise that had suffered through four consecutive losing seasons prior to his arrival. Since then, the Nuggets have won four consecutive seasons, three of them in the playoffs and one in the Western Conference Finals.

Millsap's performance seemed to have slowed down near the end of his Denver tenure. His 9.0 points per games was his lowest point since 2007-08. He could still be an important veteran player on the bench for a team that is looking to contend. The Nets and Warriors seem to fit the bill.

Millsap won't be breaking the bank as they have more money for their 2021-22 payrolls that any other NBA team. However, he would make a great fit for either one of them for additional frontcourt depth.
