Police identify suspect after Mike Lindell alleged attack

Sioux Falls police in South Dakota said that they have identified a suspect in an assail investigation. This appears to be tied to MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell. Lindell claimed that he was attacked while taking photographs at his hotel near his 2020 election fraud symposium.
The Sioux Falls Police Department released a photo on Wednesday, asking for the public's assistance in identifying the man. A follow-up tweet from police confirming the identity of the man came less than two hours later.

Authorities did not provide any additional information.

Lindell told the first time that he was "physically attacked" by his hotel guests on Aug. 12.

"It's okay. "It hurts a bit," Lindell stated. "I want everyone to be aware of all the evil out there.

Later, Lindell explained to Flashpoint that two men approached Lindell to take a photograph. After one photo was taken, another man "came out of nowhere" and asked for a second photo.

Lindell said, "He put his hand around," gesturing to Lindell's side, adding that something had been stuck there. It was so much pressure. It was so much pressure. I knew that if I did anything, it would bring me more. He pushed it in, piercing the pain.

Lindell stated that he was in pain and doubled back, but was able get up to his hotel room.

He said, "I think it's a setup", suggesting that if he had fought back someone would have captured the altercation on video and shared it on social media.

However, Jeff Buongiorno (a Republican candidate for Florida's congressional seat) told a different story.

He said, "There was no attack."

Although the Sioux Falls Police Department won't confirm Lindell was a victim of an alleged crime, they did inform the Washington Examiner about a report that was filed on Aug. 12, which matches the basic description of Lindell’s claim.
