Marvel's Latest Shang-Chi Clip Is 60 Seconds of Martial Arts Radness

It has been receiving rave reviews from people who have seen Shang-Chi: The Legend of the Ten Rings, and it is becoming more evident why. Take, for example, the new clip from Marvel heros' bus battle scene.

This is Jackie Chan at his best. There's so much to enjoy here. The unique fights that are dictated by the small bus, and the way Simu Liu uses the environment to her advantage (a literal launch pad! ), is amazing. It's all perfect. The way he uses his jacket as a weapon and his jacket as a tool, the funny moments when he stops mid-fight to chat to fellow passengers, it all makes the movie even more special. It reminded me a lot of Drunken Master II and Chans Police Story, two great martial arts movies.

Awkwafina's performance is amazing. Her expression at the end, though priceless, is something we all knew. This little clip somehow got me more excited about the movie than the trailers. It's strange, but it is true.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is directed by Just Mercys Destin Daniel Cretton. It stars Liu as the title hero, Awkwafina playing Katy, and Tony Leung as Wenwu. Michelle Yeoh plays Ying Nan and Menger Zhang plays Xialing. Ben Kingley, Tim Roth, Benedict Wong and Tim Roth will return to their roles as Doctor Stranges Wong and Hulks Abomination respectively. It will premiere on September 3, 2021, but it wouldn't hurt to keep your fingers crossed at this point.
