TOP STORY - Chelsea still eyes Sevilla's Kounde

Chelsea are still interested in Jules Kounde, Sevilla FC defender, despite Trevor Chalobah's introduction into the Blues' first squad.

According to The Telegraph, Thomas Tuchel still wants to add the 22 year-old Kounde to his team as a replacement for Cesar Azpilicueta (31 years old).

Sevilla insist on the 68 million release clause in the deal with France International before allowing the French international to leave the Spanish club.

Before they make a move for the centre back, the club wants to get rid of a defender. Kurt Zouma was reported to be the most likely to go. Tottenham Hotspur is among the clubs that are linked to Zouma, 26.

Another problem Chelsea has is their dwindling contracts. Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen are all in the final year of their respective contracts.

According to the report, Chelsea are also interested in a deal for a midfielder but haven't yet made an active pursuit of a target. The Blues are believed to be interested in AS Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, but they are just one of many potential suitors.

Stamford Bridge is also being offered Atletico Madrid's midfielder Saul Niguez. After Rodrigo de Paul's arrival from Udinese, the Wanda Metropolitano has linked the 26-year old midfielder with a move.

PAPER GOSSIP

According to the Daily Mail, Southampton is close to completing a deal to sign Torino's defender Lyanco. After Jannik Vestergaard's departure to Leicester City, the 24-year-old has been linked to the Saints. Ralph Hasenhuttl would make the sixth signing of the season for this Brazilian player, who made 23 appearances last season in Serie A for Torino.

Mundo Deportivo reports that RB Leipzig has made contact to discuss a possible move for Barcelona's Ilaix Moriba. The contract talks between the Nou Camp outfit and the 18-year old have been in a stalemate. He has one year remaining on his deal. As Leipzig nears the signing of the youngster for the future, it is believed Ronald Koeman's team are cutting off negotiations with him.

AC Milan is looking for Pietro Pellegri to add to their strike force. Tuttosport has reported that the forward is not in favour at Monaco. The Rossoneri outfit hopes to sign him, along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud. Milan had hoped Milan would sign the 20 year-old Genoa player when he was there, and they plan to bring him back into the Serie A during this transfer window.

According to AS, Tottenham's record signing Tanguy Nyombele is speculating about his future. He wants to move to Real Madrid or Barcelona, and Bayern Munich. According to AS, the 24-year old is considering a move to the clubs but the wage could prove costly for LaLiga clubs. He is thought to earn 200k a week, which would not work for Real Madrid and Barcelona, both of whom have had to reduce their salaries.

AC Milan is close to completing a deal with Chelsea for Tiemoue Bakoko. They could confirm the deal as soon as Monday. Calciomercato reports that the 27 year-old would join AC Milan on loan for the season. The cost would be around 1.5m with the option to sign for 7-8m next season. France's midfielder, a former loanee in Serie A and Ligue 1, has spent the last three seasons in Serie A. The move could give him more game time and help to revive his international career.
