Female Couple Shot to Death at Utah Campsite

Victims
Police in Utah launched a murder investigation into the deaths of a couple who were married and had been killed at a Grand County campsite.

Crystal Michelle Turner (38), and Kylen Carrol Schrute (24), were the victims. They had both lived in Moab Utah. KSL reports.

According to social media, the women were last seen at Moab's tavern on Saturday night. They had called their friends that night and said they were concerned about a stranger camping nearby. They planned to move to another campsite.

Grand County sheriff's office released a statement saying that they are continuing to investigate any leads that may have been brought to their attention. According to the statement, sheriffs personnel do not believe that there is a danger to the public.

Friends are sharing fond memories of the couple via social media. Kylen Schulte used to comment on how beautiful the flowers looked in front of the restaurant. One wrote on Facebook. A few weeks back, she asked for some flowers to be picked up for her. They were in love and shared so much joy together. This is so terrible. Both of them were truly amazing people.

To raise funds to have Schultes buried in Billings with her brother Mackeon Daniel Schulte in her honor, the Schultes family created a GoFundMe campaign. In 2015, her brother, Mackeon Daniel Schulte, was shot to death by a friend. According to the GoFundMe page, the campaign exceeded its goal and funds will be shared by Turners family.
