Britney Spears' dogs were stolen earlier this month by Britney's dog sitter and housekeeper. This was after Britney believed the pets were being neglected. Britney then confronted her housekeeper, which led to an investigation into the matter.
Britney is directly linked to sources who tell TMZ that Britney's dog became sick around two weeks ago and Britney's dog sitter took Britney and Britney’s other dog to see the vet. Our sources claim that the dog sitter took the dogs to the vet because they were not safe at Britney’s house.
According to our sources, Britney called Ventura County Sheriff's Dept. on August 10. Page Six first reported that Britney called the Ventura County Sheriff's Dept to report a theft. However, when officers arrived at her house she refused to give up and sent them off. According to our sources, she had planned to file a report on theft over the dogs, but decided not.
Now, fast forward to Monday morning. Britney was still without her dogs, and she didn't know their location. However, Britney suspected that her father might have been involved in their disappearance.

Britney confronted the housekeeper and asked her whereabouts and why she had taken her dogs. Britney sources claim that the housekeeper expressed concern about the dogs' neglect and showed Britney pictures she took with her cellphone of one dog that had just vomited.
Britney believes that Jamie sent the photos to Britney's housekeeper, who is paid by Jamie. He then called the dog sitter to tell her to take the dogs home. Sources close to Jamie claim that Jamie is "totally ignorant" about what happens in her home. They also add, "He's been shut down."
Britney was reportedly very upset and told her housekeeper that she wasn't allowed to take photos inside her home. Britney then allegedly fought with the housekeeper and knocked her phone from her hands. Britney sources claim she only hit the phone. However, law enforcement sources state that Britney injured her arm and caused her to loose her grip on the phone.
Britney was still hopeful that her dogs would be returned by Thursday afternoon.
TMZ reported that the housekeeper filed a report of battery with the Ventura County Sheriff's Dept. The agency is currently investigating. A Sheriff's Dept. TMZ is told by an official that once the investigation is completed, the file will be sent the D.A. to examine for a misdemeanor battery conviction.
