Air France has stepped up its Paris lounge game and I am impressed.
Air France Business Lounge Paris CDG - New
Air France today revealed its new lounge at Terminal 2F, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) that is open to both short and long haul passengers. The lounge is located in the Schengen zone.
The lounge is located between the two boarding areas of the terminal and is open every day from 5:30 AM to 10 PM. SkyTeam Elite Plus and SkyTeam business passengers have free access. Economy passengers can purchase access for 35 euros per person, subject to availability.
The lounge, which is on two levels, measures a stunning 3,000m2 (32,000+ sq. feet) and can seat 570 people.
The new lounge invites you to celebrate French-style travel and gives you a moment of suspended time. I can see where it is coming from when I look at the photos. It is almost like the TWA Hotel at JFK.

Air France's colors, blue, white and a hint red, are highlighted throughout this lounge. The Air France brand symbol is a winged seahorse.
Listed below are some features of the lounge:
The entrance to the lounge is adorned with a huge sculpture that was inspired by the wings and technology of an airplane.
Beyond that, there's a runway view through huge curved windows that let in a northern lighting that illuminates the lounge
Each floor has a dining area with a variety of catering options, including mini sandwiches, salads, pancakes, cheese, and dessert.
A detox area offers a variety of herbal teas.
Upstairs, you will find a relaxing area with comfortable recliners and loungers, as well as dimming lighting.
A Clarins treatment area offers 20-minute beauty and radiance treatments
A wellness area is available with 10 shower rooms
These are photos of the new lounge.

Air France-KLM's lounge game is very popular
The new lounge at Air France looks stunning. This lounge is not Air France's best in Paris. That would be La Premiere Lounge. I think this lounge is the best in Paris, but it looks amazing for a lounge for short-haul passengers.
Since I have not visited the lounge, I cannot speak for the soft products. The lounge's design and bones are amazing. The stunning interior design and the large, curved windows are unbeatable.
Overall, I've been impressed with the way Air France-KLM has opened and redesigned lounges. Some older lounges in Air France are not great (e.g., those in Boston, Chicago and Houston). However, the lounges that have been renovated or opened recently look fantastic.
Air France-KLM's lounges are the best of all the European mega-airlines. KLM's Amsterdam flagship lounge is great, and its regional lounges are also solid. I have had good experiences in Paris with Air France's other lounges.
KLMs beautiful lounge in Amsterdam
Bottom line
Air France passengers flying in business class on regional flights will be delighted to discover the Air France Lounge at Terminal 2F, Paris CDG. The lounge is beautiful from all angles. It has large windows, lots of space, two levels and a very attractive interior design. Air France lounges are excellent for catering, both food and beverages.
What do you think of Air France's new lounge at CDG?
