Brooks is running for the U.S. Senate in support of Trump. He stated that although the terrorists' motivations are not known yet, he understands the citizenry anger directed towards dictatorial Socialism. Kinzinger, who is known for his criticism of right-wing colleagues, responded to Brooks' statement by tweeting Evil. He added that GOP leaders must decide whether they want members of Congress who encourage sympathy for domestic terrorists.

Roseberry supported former President Donald Trump in videos. His wife also told NBC Washington that he voted for Trump. However, Capitol Police Chief Thomas Manger suggested that Roseberry's personal life could have played a role in the incident. We know that Roseberry has suffered some family losses. Manger stated that his mother died recently and that Roseberry's family had revealed other issues he was facing.
What to Watch
Capitol Police have given staffers permission to return to the House office building evacuated earlier in day. Manger stated that there was no evidence Roseberry conspired with others, but added that an investigation is ongoing.
