The subscription-based company, which has amassed a large amount of adult content creators has made a huge move to update its content guidelines.
Translation: The site will now be prohibited from sexually explicit conduct.
Entrepreneur was informed by OnlyFans that these changes were made to meet the demands of our bank partners and pay providers.
Out of 279,222 requests, the company approved 114,065 creator accounts.
The updated policy will be in effect on October 1, 2021. It will still allow nude content to remain online provided it adheres to the Acceptable Use Policy.
According to the site's terms, nudity will not be permitted if it isn't public nudity being shot in a place where public nudity has been deemed illegal.
Posting pornographic material and videos will be prohibited.
Entrepreneur told Onlyfans that we need to update our content guidelines in order to ensure long-term sustainability and continue hosting an inclusive community.
According to the company, it will soon release more information about the policy update as it continues its efforts to help creators and moderate the process.
Since its inception, the site has generated over $5 million in creator revenues since 2016.
