Terrell Owens, Hall of Fame wide receiver, said that he is still interested in making an NFL return at the age of 47.

Owens, who played last for the Cincinnati Bengals back in 2010, said that he ran a 4.4 second 40-yard dash.

T.O. T.O. "... You don't have to forget how to ride a bicycle once you learn how to. ... It's clear that 100 percent of me can play in today's National Football League.

Owens was a formidable force at his peak. This is evident in a stretch when he scored at minimum 13 touchdowns in seven seasons, spanning the period of 10 years between 1998 and 2007.

In 2010, the native of Alabama was still productive for Bengals, with 72 catches for 983 yards and nine touchdowns in 14 games. However, he was injured in the 2011 offseason and has not played in a regular-season game, despite his constant desire to make a comeback.

In August 2012, he signed with the Seattle Seahawks. He lasted only three weeks before being removed. This was his last NFL contract.

Owens said that he had spoken with someone in the NFL this summer, who advised him to be prepared in case his phone rings.

He said, "With that conversation that they had, they asked my me to keep myself in formanything can happen." "And so, that's exactly what I'm doing."

The UT-Chattanooga product doesn't have much left to prove. After a career that saw him catch 1,078 passes for 15,934 yards and score 153 touchdowns, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018. When he was at his best, he was one of the greatest playmakers in league history.

Owens seems to be in good shape and hoping to get called, but it would surprise me if he played in another regular-season match.

George Blanda is the oldest NFL player at 48. However, he had mostly become a full-time kicker in his final nine years.
