This has resulted in the base model not being compatible with 64-bit apps from the Play Store, including many on this list (Metal Gear Solid 2, Half-Life 2 and The Witness), as well as a decrease in the RAM of its tube-shaped streaming dongle to just 2GB. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

This game is not the same stealth action as Metal Gear Solid 2, the jewel in the Metal Gear franchise. This is a hack-and-slash action title with Raiden as the star. Fans will be most familiar with Raiden from Metal Gear Solid 2. The story centers on conflicts between rival Private Military Companies. Some corporations are actively seeking to court chaos in order to maintain the war economy. We won't go into too many details, but we want to emphasize that this story is not like Metal Gear Solid.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Although Revengeance departs from the Metal Gear series' renowned gameplay, it is still a visually pleasing game. $15 on the Google Play Store

Half-Life 2

Half-Life 2 is a great game. It's the sequel of 1998's first-person shooter Half-Life. You owe it yourself to play Half-Life 2 if you have an NVIDIA Shield. Although you don't need to have played the original, it helps to know the basics. You play Gordon Freeman, who is a quiet scientist who accidentally opened a portal that leads to another dimension. Half-Life 2 begins with Freeman awakening from stasis to discover that the Combine has taken control of the world. This inter-dimensional empire has established a brutal global police state to control all human beings.

Skateboard Party 3

Skateboard Party 3 is a tribute to the Tony Hawk Pro Skater games of old. This is a throwback to the classic skateboarding games of the 90s and early 2000s, before things got terribly out of control. You have a few game options to choose from, and the game controls and physics feel familiar. You have four minutes to explore eight locations, rack up huge scores, collect P-A–R-T-Y floating around, and discover other hidden items. Spending experience points is the only way to unlock things. These are earned by completing challenges or landing tricks.

Doom is a legend in both its modern and classic forms. Bethesda offers high-quality ports of both the original and its sequel, which is considered the grandfather of first-person shooters. The NVIDIA Shield TV also has Doom 3, the third installment of the franchise. The BFG Edition includes visual upgrades, achievements, and control tuning. A new mission was also added to the game. Half-Life 2 is our favorite shooter on Shield TV. Doom 3 is an alternative if you want something more intense.

The Final Station

The Final Station, on its surface, reminds me of Death Road to Canada mentioned at the top. You are thrown into a zombie apocalypse, and you must make do. The similarities end here as The Final Station puts you on a train and you are responsible for the lives of all remaining humans as you travel station to station. You are responsible for ensuring that the train is functional and meeting passenger needs. To make it to the next station, you'll have to pass through infected people seeking help and supplies. There are many choices that you can make, and some of these will define your character as a person.

The Final Station: This is a fun game where you are responsible for making sure that your train runs smoothly and passengers are safe. You travel from station to station in search of survivors and supplies. $15 on Google Play Store

Super Meat Boy

Super Meat Boy is, quite frankly, brutal. It's fitting that the game's name means you will feel as though you have been through the meat grinder. Super Meat Boy is a continuation of 2D side-scrolling platformers, which challenge players to beat the sadistic misery and pain. You'll be Meat Boy's guide as he races, jumps and dies in an attempt to save his girlfriend from a tuxedo-clad fetus inside a jar. Super Meat Boy has a minimal pixelated graphics style and is a platformer that doesn't require any special skills. It evokes the same difficulty as many older games. This game demands precise inputs. There is no room for error. Although the punishing gameplay might scare some gamers, there is something to be said about the feeling of accomplishment when you finally make it through a challenging area. Are you up for the challenge of Super Meat Boy? Here's your chance!

Super Meat Boy An old-school platformer that is challenging and difficult, Super Meat Boy offers a great challenge for anyone who's brave enough to try it. $15 on Google Play Store

Never Alone

Although Never Alone and Super Meat Boy share many similarities, that is not the end of their similarities. Super Meat Boy's platformer style is focused on fast action and precise controls. Never Alone seeks to be more spiritual, reflective and enlightening than that of Super Meat Boy. Never Alone is the story of Nuna, an Iupiat young girl and her friend, the fox, as they fight against the elements to end the eternal blizzard that threatens everything and everyone they love. You can switch between Nuna and the Fox if you are playing in single-player mode. However, if you play with co-op, each player controls one of them. Never Alone does exactly what I wish more platformers and games would do. It teaches you about the culture of a people in an engaging, fun way. Beautiful art and incredible narration from an Iupiat master storyteller (in Iupiaq) make this a wonderful game. Never Alone can be played solo or in a co-op mode. This delightful, story-driven platformer costs only $4.99.

Never Alone A dramatic platformer that takes place in a harsh world of ice. Never Alone follows a young girl with her fox as she searches for the cause of an endless blizzard that threatens to destroy their world. Google Play Store $5

Jackbox Party Pack 3

Maybe you just woken up from 100 years of cryosleep, and are now culturally out of touch with the latest and greatest games. This scenario is the only way I can imagine someone could have missed Jackbox games in all its various iterations. The basic idea behind Jackbox games is that they can be played with up to eight people. There are a few mini-games included in each Party Pack. These include things like designing tshirts, voting for the best, deadly quiz shows and guessing games. Jackbox's unique appeal is its ability to make fun of your friends and pit them against each other in a low-salt, funny way. Party Pack 3 costs $24.99 and is quite expensive, but you will get a lot of enjoyment from this game.

Jackbox Party Pack 3 Jackbox Party Pack 3 is one of the most fun party games you can find. It will take you and your friends on a wild, hilarious adventure. $25 on Google Play Store

Octodad: Dadliest Catch

Octodad can be summarized as: Dadliest Catch is about one word: Weird. This is a strange concept for a very bizarre, but very enjoyable game. Octodad is an oldie, but a goodie. It puts you in the shoes of an octopus pretending that he's a loving family man. You're a stylish man, you have two beautiful children, a nice house in the suburbs, and you fool the entire world into believing you aren't an octopus. The hilarious physics involved in controlling an "octopus" with no bones, eight unwieldy tentacles and no bones is what makes Octodad a laughable joke. This makes mundane tasks like grocery shopping for your family a bizarre and difficult task. The novelty of this game is what makes it so appealing. Although there isn't much replay value, you will get a lot of enjoyment from it while it lasts.
