FastPass is gone on 18 August 2021. FastPass is dead. You can cut down on wait times by planning your FastPasses carefully. A family of four could pay $71 to skip the line for one ride. You'll probably be spending more time looking at your phone than ever before. However, just because Genie adds an activity to a guest's schedule doesn't guarantee that it will be included in the ticket price does not mean that it will be free. While some activities will be included in the ticket price for guests, others will require additional money. Genie will calculate and replace any itinerary that guests reject by Genie. Genie promises to display current and future wait times. This will help you plan when you might be able to get into attractions faster. Genie's best perks will come at a cost. Genie+ upgrades will cost you $15 per day to Walt Disney World in Florida or $20 to Disneyland in California. Genie+ won't allow you to access the most popular attractions. Genie+ won't allow you to ride the most popular rides. Genie+ users will have access to the most popular rides only through the Lightning Lane pay-per-ride system. Genie+ users will also get minor perks like Disney-themed photo filters at Walt Disney World or downloadable images from park photographers at Disneyland. If you don't want to spend the extra money for Genie+, the only alternative is to wait in the "standby" lines, which will take the longest but will still be free. In Paris, some standby lines can be redirected to virtual "Standby Passes" at unscheduled moments. This almost certainly makes guests want to pay to speed things up. However, this feature is not confirmed for the American parks. The Lightning Lane reservation system will be available for all guests at 7 a.m., and it will only be available on the same day. The Lightning Lane reservations will be available for everyone at 7am, for a one-day only. You might be confused by all the benefits Disney recently converted to up-charges. We'll help you understand the system. Here's a Disney Parks video that explains the changes. Warning: The video claims that the new service will be "free" but it is only talking about the Genie system which plans itineraries, but does not offer Lightning Lane entries.
