Billy Gilmour is on loan for a season at Norwich

Liverpool condemned the homophobic chanting directed at Norwich's loan midfielder Billy Gilmour on Saturday at Carrow Road.

Some Reds fans allegedly targeted the 20-year-old loanee from Chelsea and Scotland, who was also a Reds international.

The club stated that it urged supporters to keep in mind the inclusive values of the club, and not to forget them in the future.

After Kop Outs, Liverpool’s LGBT+ fan group, had highlighted the chanting directed at Gilmour, it was taken.

The group posted the following on social media external link: "Great results today marred by homophobic Chanting by some of our Fans Targeting Chelsea Loanee Billy Gilmour."
