After sluggish start, Justin Fields leads two touchdown drives in Chicago Bears debut

CHICAGO -- Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields reminded everyone Saturday that it is not about how you start but how you end.
Fields, the 11th pick in the 2021 NFL draft was introduced to the game against Miami Dolphins in quarter two to thunderous applause from Soldier Field. He struggled to find his rhythm up until the end of half. The offense was able to move the ball enough to allow Chicago to kick a field goal just before the clock expired.

Fields switched the switch at halftime, leading Chicago on a 77 yard scoring drive that opened the third quarter. He finished it off with an 8 yard touchdown run. Fields displayed both strength and speed on the play. He fought off a Dolphins defensive back before leaving the pocket and running virtually unassisted until he reached the goal line.

Later, he found Jesse James, a tight end, wide open for a touchdown strike of 30-yards. This was the final touchdown in a Bears victory 20-13.

Fields -- The No. Fields, the No. 2 quarterback behind veteran Andy Dalton played two series Saturday. He finished 14-of-20 with 142 passing yards & one touchdown and five rushes of 33 yards & one touchdown.
