Lamborghini's Countach LPI 800-4 is an 802-horsepower hybrid supercar ' TechCrunch

After many teases and leaks, Lamborghini finally revealed its new hybrid-engine Countach.You can find almost all the information you need about the car in its model number: LPI 800-4.The first section is for Longitudinale PosterioreIbrido. It refers to how the powertrain is mounted longwise towards the rear of the supercar, and that it is a hybrid.The numbers indicate the approximate 802 horsepower that the Countachs V12 6.5 liter engine and 48-volt electrical motor can produce together. It also points to the fact it has four-wheel-drive.This makes the Countach a powerful car. The Countach can go from 0 to 60 mph in three seconds, and zero to 124 mph in nine seconds. The Countach can reach a top speed of 221 mph and has a maximum torque output of 531 lb.ft.The supercapacitor Lamborghini claims provides three times the power of a lithium-ion batteries, while the Countachs motor's electric motor draws its power from it. According to Lamborghini, the electric motor was mounted directly to the transmission to retain the same power transfer as a V12 engine.The exterior and chassis of the Countach LPI 8004 are made of carbon fiber. The design is reminiscent more of the Aventador than the iconic Countach from the 70s and 80s, Lamborghini said. The 8.4-inch touchscreen displays inside include CarPlay integration. A button labeled Stile explains the Countach design philosophy for its privileged audience.Lamborghini will make only 112 units for the Countach LPI 800-4. The automaker didn't include a price tag in the press release.
