Trip Report: JetBlue Inaugural TransAtlantic Flight New York to London

Yesterday morning, the first JetBlue customer-carrying JetBlue flight from the U.S. to the U.K. arrived at Heathrow just before ten o'clock in the morning. Chris Sloan has created this inaugural JetBlue trip report between New York City and London. We are now crossing the North Atlantic for the first time in JetBlue's 21-year-old history. This will allow us to compete in one of the busiest markets in the world. It also gives us the opportunity to present our award-winning service, low fares, and award-winning service to a new global audience.Robin Hayes, @jetblue CEO, has booked his ride to #JetBlueLHR. It has 24 redesigned Mint suites and 114 core seats. The cabin interior is Airspace. The Experience - Chris SloanAlthough I don't consider myself a snob or anything, I was hesitant about flying economy overnight across the pond. I think it was because I struggled to sleep straight.JetBlues Extra Legroom product has 36 inches of pitch and an 18.4-inch wide seat. These seats are very comfortable, even though they're slimline.Spend more for Core+More (Even Greater Legroom) seats. $125 more each way It's worth it, I would say. 18.4 Collins Meridien seat are among the largest Y seats in space. 4 rows of Extra Room. #JetBlueLHR pic.twitter.com/g4ufPWC8P2 Chris Sloan (@airchive) August 12, 2021JetBlues economy product is almost an error to call it economy. They don't. Core is the name of this product and it's far and away my favorite economy product from an American or European carrier.JetBlue A321LR Mint (Business)JetBlue A321LR Core seat (Economy).Five FAs fly @jetblue London: 2 in Core and 3 in Mint. This was achieved on a narrow-body aircraft, which is not something one associates with comfort or passenger appeal for a flight of 6-7 hours. You don't feel second-class.JetBlue flight: Choose your meal from the seat back screen.IFE made the Digg meal I created on the IFE. It was warm and delicious. The heat stays on thanks to the packaging. The colds and entrees are kept warm by the pouches placed on the cart. Meals are assembled at the seat. LGW is permanent. This gives rise to Boston in 2022 and an additional frequency. This is only the beginning for Europe. pic.twitter.com/kLbr8EKn2t Chris Sloan (@airchive) August 12, 2021The atmosphere was mainly informal and joyful. Many people expected and feared a party flight filled with many ceremonies, but it didn't happen. It was an overnight flight that took only a few hours to complete. There was not much pomp and circumstance, except for some souvenirs of the US and UK flags as well as applause at the roll and landing. This was reserved for the gate. The cabins of Airspace were tranquilized by their lighting scheme, spaciousness and lower sidewalls. The flight was dominated by the enthusiastic crew.Fly the flags! It is a disruptive product, just like Virgin back in the day. The price is certainly right, bringing down competitors' fares once the tickets were on sale. It's the JetBlue effect. This allows them to compete effectively with low fares between the U.S.A. and London. JetBlue converted 13 of its A321 orders to the LR version in April 2019, with the possibility to convert additional aircraft. JetBlue also converted 13 additional aircraft from its A321 order book to the LR version in April 2019. It is also able to convert more. The GrowthJetBlue continues to plan additional service between the U.S.A and U.K., with flights between New York JFK Airport (LGW), and London Gatwick Airport(LGW) beginning September 29, 2021. JetBlue will be United Kingdom's only airline to provide service to Gatwick, the second busiest airport.London service is expected to begin in summer 2022 from Boston. This was reported by Chris Sloan/AirChive.net.TheAirchive.Net, the internet museum of commercial aviation. #AvGeek has vintage timetables as well as route maps, brochures, historical flights, aircraft cabins, airport maintenance bases, training facilities, headquarters, bricks-and-mortar museums, final assembly lines and photos of airplane graveyards.
