In the afternoon, a ten-count indictment was filed against him in federal court.According to the indictment Lazzaro was charged with one count each of conspiracy to commit sexual trafficking of minors and five counts of sex trading of minors. He also faces one count of attempted to sex trade of a minor and three counts obstruction of justice.Lazzaro and his representative did not respond immediately to a request for comment.According to the Justice Department, Lazzaro conspired with others to recruit six minor victims for commercial sex acts. This was between May 2020 and December 2020. Before Magistrate Judge Becky Thorson, he made his first appearance.The DOJ stated that he will remain in custody until a formal hearing on August 16th.LinkedIn lists Lazzaro as the CEO of Gold River Group (a Minneapolis-based consulting firm). Big Tent Republicans is also his creation. This political action committee is dedicated to "dedicating to broadening and appealing the Republican Party's base and appeal to a new, diverse generation of Americans."His website states that Lazzaro appeared on Fox News, Fox radio and Fox radio.
