Who Dey is drinking all that beer?SportsHandle recently conducted a survey to determine which NFL team's fan base drinks the most alcohol during games. The Cincinnati Bengals won the contest, but it wasn't close.AdvertisementThe average Bengals fan consumes 5.2 drinks per match, about half the amount of their AFC North rival Baltimore Ravens, who were at 4.7 dpg. The Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears round out the top five, with Carolina Panthers coming in at 4.5 dpg.According to what I hear, Cincinnati is a major beer city. The top five are all from cities that are cold-weather. This caught my attention. This is a great thing, especially with football occurring from fall to early winter. These cities get snow all year, so what are people supposed to do other than go outside and watch a game?It is also interesting to see the bottom tier. The 32nd-ranked team in this list is the San Francisco 49ers. They no longer live in the city. It is not surprising to see the Niners listed last as a Bay Area native. The 49er faithful isn't your typical beer-swilling crowd. Their fan base in the bay is more known for their wine-and cheese crowd, with pinkies extended. The Raiders were more well-known than the people who drank suds when they lived in Oakland. It is fitting that the Bengals are ranked first in this league. The Bungals have earned the nickname of the Bungals. They also play in Cin City. Since the 1980s, the Bengals have not been to the Super Bowl. The team wasn't able to win a playoff game during the Marvin Lewis era. They did make it to the postseason but the Lewis team always found a way back to the Bungals. It is fitting that Bengals fans are the most drunk among NFL fan bases. Sometimes, even being drunk is necessary when watching the Bengals, Bungal, and other players on the field, as they are well-known for doing. This is not the fault of the fan base. It is the fan base that should be commended for turning out every week, regardless of how the team does. All Bengals fans, congratulations! Enjoy this win. This may be the only victory you see this season.
