Stephen Curry's Rise to Stardom at Davidson to Be Subject of 'Underrated' Documentary

It will be produced and directed by Ryan Coogler, Pete Nicks, and Curry and Erick Pyton, for Proximity Media. Coogler directed, co-wrote or co-written Fruitvale Station and Creed as well as Black Panther.Curry made waves when Davidson reached the Elite Eight in the NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament 2008.The tournament was opened with the Wildcats as the No. The Wildcats entered the tournament as the No. 10 seed in the Midwest Region. But Curry quickly led the charge.In an 82-76 victory over No. 7 Gonzaga won the first round, and then scored 30 more in a 74-7 win against No. 2 Georgetown, which made it to the Final Four last year.Curry scored 33 points to win a dominating 73-56 victory over No. 3 WisconsinThis set up an Elite Eight match with No. 1 Kansas and Davidson were given a date with No. 8. Jason Richards made a three-pointer in the final seconds, scoring 59-57. The shot missed the mark and Kansas reached the Final Four, where it won the national title.Curry won the tournament with 32.0 points per match, making him a March Madness legend. Curry was drafted No. 7 by the Warriors one year later. He was 7th in the 2009 NBA draft. He won the 2009 NBA draft with 7 points.
