KANSAS CITY (Mo.) After moving from Texas to Kansas City, Patrick Mahomes wanted to order at Whataburger. It was one of his favorite fast food restaurants.Mahomes will now bring Whataburger to his home. Mahomes is an investor in a group which will bring 30 Whataburger franchises to Missouri and Kansas over the next seven-years, with the majority of those franchises located in the Kansas City region.Mahomes stated, "I love Kansas City" and "I love Whataburger." "I'm thrilled to bring a gift from the first home to the second.Mahomes was not involved in the Whataburger expansion to Kansas City. He urged the chain's Kansas City location to open a restaurant.Mahomes talked about his love of ketchup during 2018's MVP season. He mentioned that Whataburger was his favorite brand of the condiment.
