The movie is scheduled to release April 8, 2022. Ben Schwartz will again be the voice of Sonic, alongside live action actors Tika Sumpter and Jim Carrey, as Dr. Robotnik. According to rumors, Robotnik returns from an alien planet with Knuckles and finds a powerful emerald. This is when Sonic and Tails join forces to stop him. Knuckles was introduced in the videogames as an antagonist before switching sides. It's possible that this will happen in the future.Jeff Fowler will once again direct the sequel. After the film's unexpected box office success, there are good chances that the characters' looks will be as close to the game world as they can get. He doesn't want to see another Sonic movie. The online reaction to the Sonic 1 reveal was so bad that millions were spent on advertising the characters' looks.
