The UFC is in Boston this Friday for UFC on ESPN 6, an event that features the undefeated Dominick Reyes facing off against former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman.

Reyes has a career record of 11-0. He is 5-0 in the UFC with three stoppage wins. His two most recent victories, which both came via decision, have been against former UFC light heavyweight title challengers. There is a chance that a win over Weidman could earn the 29-year-old a shot at current UFC light heavyweight kingpin, Jon Jones.

After beginning his career on a 13-0 run, Weidman entered a rough patch when he lost his 185-pound title to Luke Rockhold in December 2015. Since that loss, Weidman has dealt with injuries and more defeats than victories. He is currently 14-4 and coming off a knockout loss to Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza in November. Weidman has never fought at light heavyweight before. The ex-champ believes that a win over Reyes will vault him into a matchup against Jones.

In the co-main event of Friday's fight card, Yair Rodriguez and Jeremy Stephens run back their September featherweight bout. That matchup ended in 15 seconds after Rodriguez poked Stephens in the eye and Stephens could not continue. The fight was ruled a no contest and rebooked for the Boston event. The two have built up a severe dislike for each other since their meeting last month.

UFC on ESPN 6 takes place Friday, Oct. 18 at TD Garden in Boston, Mass. The entire card airs on ESPN 2. The prelim card kicks off at 6 p.m. ET, followed by the main card at 9 p.m. ET.

Before the fighters step into the octagon on Friday, they will hit the scales. The ceremonial weigh-ins take place Thursday. The first fighter is set to hit the scale at 5 p.m. ET.
