Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo today said that Apple will launch a new MacBook Air in mid-2022 with a mini-LED screen and a variety of color options. This was according to a MacRumors research note. These are expected to also feature a mini-LED screen and flatter bottom edges. According to rumors, the new MacBook Air will feature an Apple silicon chip that is faster and a MagSafe-branded power cable.Kuo stated that it's not clear if the M1 MacBook Air will cease production after the mini-LED model is in mass production. This could impact pricing. Kuo stated that the mini-LED version of the M1 MacBook Air will likely start at $999 if the M1 MacBook Air is no longer available. Kuo thinks that the M1 MacBook Air could be sold alongside the mini-LED model if it is still available.According to Kuo, BOE, a Chinese manufacturer, will supply the mini LED displays for the new MacBook Air.
