It stated that fans should be ready to show proof of vaccination or a negative lateral flow test within the last 48 hours.The league is ready for any situation where it may become mandatory that all fans have their coronavirus status checked.Friday is the start of the 2021/2022 season.Arsenal will host Brentford at 20:00 BST in their opening match.Fans will be able show their Covid-19 status by using the NHS Covid Pass through the NHS app and website.According to the league, it is working with clubs to implement Covid-19 status checks in a staged manner so that there is minimal disruption and maximum safety.The statement added that fans must adhere to a "supporter code" which requires them to wear masks indoors and avoid close contact with strangers. It also states that they must follow one-way signage at stadiums.The government lifted capacity limits on 19 July, but they are being decided now at the local level. It is not clear if proof of vaccination will need to be provided after September.Chelsea was the first club to state that proof of vaccination or a negative test from the last few months would be required to enter their ground this season.
