Apple today announced that it has signed a deal with "Bad Monkey", an upcoming TV series which will star Vince Vaughn.Based on Carl Hiaasen’s 2013 novel, the 10-episode drama was created. The story follows Andrew Yancy, a South Florida police detective who is demoted to a food inspector. Yancy is dragged into a world of corruption and greed that decimates Florida's environment.Apple reports that the book received rave reviews from readers who called it "a comedy marvel...beautifully constructed" and "a hilarious misadventure in South Florida's colorful annals, greed, and corruption."Bill Lawrence, a writer and executive producer for "Ted Lasso", wrote "Bad Monkey".
