He is also the son of Allen Weisselberg (the Trump Organization's Chief Financial Officer), who was in July accused of multiple tax crimes including grand larceny and scheme to defraud.The Daily Beast reported that now the prosecution has evidence, provided by Barry Weisselberg’s ex-wife Jennifer, that he used similar methods to avoid paying taxes.Jennifer Weisselberg, a cooperating witness, provided a decade's worth of tax returns and financial records that showed her ex-husband didn't report all his income. Instead, he received corporate perks which should have been declared as taxable income.Jennifer Weisselberg told Jacob Shamsian previously that the Trump Organization controlled employees, giving them tuition and houses instead of raises.It is important that the news about Barry Weisselberg's evidence was revealed by prosecutors. Intentionally, the defendants failed to do this."The Daily Beast reported that Barry Weisselberg, although not specifically named, is the only one who fits the description of a male Weisselberg family member who worked at the Trump Organization.Prosecutors may also be interested in other corporate perks, such as discounts on garage fees and hundreds of thousands of dollar school fees for Barry Weisselberg’s children, which were paid using checks that Trump signed, according to the report.Insider reached out to Trump Organization for comment but they did not immediately reply.Business Insider has the original article.
