R.I.P. Markie Post from Night Court and The Fall Guy

Deadline reported that Markie Post, best known for her roles in Night Court and The Fall Guy as well as a role in Theres Something About Mary, has died. Her manager confirmed the news, nearly four years after Post was first diagnosed with cancer. She was 70.AdvertisementPost was born in California, 1950 to Marylee Post and Richard F. Post. Her first roles in entertainment were not on screen. She worked behind the scenes for game shows such as Split Second, CBS Double Dare and Card Sharks. She began to get minor TV roles in the late 1970s. In 1982, she was cast in her first major role on The Fall Guy. She joined Lee Majors' crew of Hollywood stunt performers/bounty hunters as Terri Michaels.Post was cast as Christine Sullivan, a overly trusting public defender and Princess Diana fan, on The Fall Guy's finale. She stayed with the show to the end and reprised her role, even though she was technically playing herself in the 30 Rock episode, The One With the Cast of Night Court.Post was a regular on Hearts Afire, Odd Man Out and Odd Man Out. She also played Elliot's mother, a frequent guest star on Scrubs. She also appeared on Chicago P.D. and Santa Clarita Diet. She died just a month after Charlie Robinson, her Night Court star, passed away. Her husband, two daughters and a young granddaughter are her survivors.
