The FCC released a new broadband map that's actually pretty usable

A map of the United States that will show you where you can expect mobile broadband coverage is available.The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), released a brand new mobile broadband coverage map. It shows where 4G LTE service is available from the four largest mobile wireless carriers in the country: AT&T Mobility and T-Mobile. UScellular and Verizon are also included. Endgadget stated that the map contains eight layers for each carrier's voice and broadband coverage. To see the coverage in your area, you can either enter a specific address or zoom into areas on the map.The FCC stated on Twitter that this map "provides a preview of the mobile data that the FCC will collect in accordance with the Broadband DATA Act's standards." These new mobile data specifications will make maps more consistent and uniform than ever before.Four mobile carriers gave data to FCC with standardized parameters. These parameters were part of Broadband Data Collection program. This gives FCC, industry, Tribal governments entities and consumers the tools they need for improving the accuracy of broadband maps.
