According to the company's order page, production on Teslas Cybertruck has been delayed to 2022. This is the first electric pickup truck. First reported by Electrek. The due today section on the Cybertrucks order pages now states that you can complete your configuration as production closes in 2022.Cybertruck news followers will not be surprised at the delay. The plan was revealed by Tesla CEO Elon Musk in 2019. It called for the first Cybertrucks on the assembly line in the latter part of 2021. Musk stated that there would be some deliveries of the Cybertruck towards the end of 2018, but I expect to see volume production in 2022.Last month, Teslas vice president of vehicle engineering Lars Moravy stated that Cybertrucks were at the stage of basic engineering and that the vehicle was ready to move into the beta phases. This would make it unlikely that Cybertrucks will ship in 2021. It has been confirmed by Tesla's order page.
