Comedy star Luis Guzman plays Gomez Addams on Wednesday's Netflix Addams Family spinoff series.AdvertisementVariety reports that Wednesday received an order for eight episodes at the streaming service. Al Gough, Miles Millar and Miles Millar will serve as showrunners and executive producers of the series. Tim Burton will also be an executive producer. Jenna Ortega (You), actress, was announced to star in Wednesday Addams. The show's synopsis is: Wednesdays attempts at mastering her psychic ability, stopping a murder spree that has terrorized her local town, and solving the supernatural mystery that beset her parents 25-years ago, all while she navigates her new and complicated relationships at Nevermore.Guzman is the patriarch of Addams' family. He joins Raul Julia, John Astin and Tim Curry as other notable actors. Most recently, Oscar Issacs was cast as Gomez Addams for the animated adaptation of The Addams Family 2019. His career spans nearly 40 years. He is best known for his comedy/actor roles, including Boogie Nights and Carlitos Way, Punch Drunk Love, Narcos and Shameless. The series' overall plot is straightforward. I am still curious about the show's content, especially since Ortega and Guzman are Latin actors. Raul Julia was Gomez Addams's actor in 1993 and 1991. The Addams Family was left void after the death of the actor from stomach cancer at 54 years old. His co-stars, Anjelica Huston (and Christina Ricci), decided not to make another movie without him. The casting is great and I'm excited about the series. Wednesday is my favorite family member.Although no information is available regarding a production start date, io9 will keep everyone informed!Follow us on Instagram @io9dotcom for more information
