U.S. women win silver in 4x100 relay; Sifan Hassan denied track triple with bronze in 1,500 meters

The U.S. women’s 4x100-meter relay team failed to win a third consecutive Olympic gold. In the men's 4x100 race, Italy surprised the winner. Sifan Hassan lost her bid for three gold medals in her fifth of six races at Tokyo Games.Jamaica won the relay title in 41.02 seconds. This is a record for Jamaica after it won the 100-meter final.
