Google researchers made a time crystal inside a quantum computer

Erik Lucero is a processor for Google's Sycamore quantum computer.Inside a Google quantum computer, a unique phase of matter known as a time crystal was created. It can flip between two configurations indefinitely without any energy input. This is the first quantum computer to solve real-world problems. It could also be used to improve existing ones.Crystals can be formed from a material if its constituents form repeating, stable patterns. It is then said that the crystal has lost its spatial symmetry.
