Y: The Last Man First Trailer for FX on Hulu Series, Diane Lane

It's been more than 13 years since Brian K. Vaughan & Pia Guerras: Y. The Last Man, which imagines a world where almost all men die in an outbreak. After a few teases, which didn't really show us much, FX on Hulu finally gave us a look at the show.Official logline: Based upon the DC Comics series by Pia Guerra and Brian K. Vaughan, Y:The Last Man explores a post-apocalyptic universe in which a cataclysmic incident decimates all mammal species with a Ychromosome except for one cisgender male and his pet monkey. The series follows survivors as they attempt to rebuild what is lost and build something new.Playwright Eliza Clark will be the showrunner. Y: The Last Mans stars Ben Schnetzer as Yorick Brown, Ashley Romans as Agent 355, and Olivia Thirlby as Yoricks sister Hero Brown. Diane Lane (Justice League), plays President Jennifer Brown (who also happens to be Yorick's mother). The first two episodes will be directed by Louise Friedberg, while the entire season will be led by women directors. Variety reported that FX noted that all episodes in season one would be directed by women. FX also notes that the shows' department heads, which include both DPs, costume designers, casting directors, editors, and stunt coordinators, will be mostly female.Although we may not believe it fully until we actually see it, Y.
