Qatar Airways suspended deliveries of Airbus A350 aircraft in June due to a defect where surfaces beneath the paint are rapidly degrading.Qatar Airways stated today that thirteen Airbus A350 aircraft were grounded in accordance with the regulator's explicit instruction. This effectively removes them from service until the root cause is determined and a solution can be found to fix the problem permanently.Qatar Airways already took immediate action to bring its A330 fleet back into service to offset the impact of the grounded A350 aircraft. It is currently looking for other solutions.Qatar Airways will reactivate A330 in order to replace A350.Qatar Airways, in addition to its focus on customer service and protecting its reputation, has begun to inspect the aircraft affected by the A350 grounding.His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker is the Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive.
