Disney will unveil the authentic-looking Star Wars lightsaber next year. A new video has just shown our best-ever look.AdvertisementThe buzz was growing that Disney was developing a lightsaber. This is not a real blade of light but it looks more realistic than the large lightbulb that you can lock into anything, such as most replicas of sabers.The first video of the saber's debut was made public a month later. It was then announced that the real-life saber would be featured at Walt Disney Worlds Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser. This immersive Star Wars experience, which will open in 2022, was modeled after a hotel. (Learn more about that in a moment.) A very cool Walt Disney Imagineering video shows a new view of the saber. (You can see it in GIF above.) It's only for a second, but its absolutely stunning. The full video is available here. The big reveal occurs at 44 seconds.It's there! There are many cool things in the video, beyond the Star Wars stuff like the animatronic Groot or a peek inside the Web-Slingers ride. It's all about the saber, let's face it.The problem with the saber? If it is only in Galactic Starcruiser then it will be quite a while before we can get one. Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will be extremely, very, very costly even before you boardw hich is hypothetically where you would have a chance of buying one. You could return it, or use one. We don't know.We think this technology is too amazing to be limited to just a few hundred people who are wealthy every day. Fans will be able, even if it takes many months or years to obtain one and live their Star Wars lightsaber dreams.
