Elon Musks SpaceX needs a Spaceport Mixologist to make space-themed drinks near its sprawling rocket factory in South Texas.Although space is unlikely to be their future, a bartender with a cool job title will be hired to join hundreds of employees at SpaceX's Starship rocket system in rural Boca Chica in Texas. Mixologist will likely work from the tiny house located next to SpaceX's budding spaceport, Musk calls the Starbase Tiki Bar. He or she will sling tiki drinks such as the Jet Pilot and Test Pilot.The preferred skill is the ability to pair drinks with a themed menu. SpaceX currently has several food service outlets and formats that serve our employees, and we are always looking for more. The job description states that we are looking for people with exceptional mixology experience, with a focus on resorts, bars and full-service restaurants.There is also a restaurant at SpaceX's Boca Chica location and another bar within one of its rocket-building towers. This overlooks the entire spaceport. Musk refers to the bar as High Bar, located in the high bay at the tower. SpaceX's job page lists open positions for cooks, baristas, and sous chefs. SpaceX's food establishments serve its employees, but the public may not be forgotten. Musk tweeted in January that he supports public spaces surrounding our production and launch sites. We will make our restaurant open to the public once covid passes. Then, we will find ways to restrict access to the High Bar.It is not uncommon for large tech companies and aerospace companies to hire chefs and baristas in order to provide food and drink to their employees. According to LinkedIn, all of them have chefs and baristas. SpaceX also has many chefs and baristas. The Verge is unable to locate evidence that other companies have in-house mixologists. Neuralink, Musk's other company, has just opened its own bar. However, it is not clear if the brain interface startup has its own mixologist.SpaceX's Boca Chica location is still in its infancy. However, it could eventually send humans to Mars. In April, NASA awarded SpaceX a contract to launch the first American astronauts to the Moon since 1972. SpaceX still has some work to do to mature the critical functions of Musks Starbase before it can make the moonshot happen.
