American Airlines has not offered lounge access to domestic first-class passengers flying to Hawaii from the US. These flights can be over eight hours in length and are operated by 787s and 777s. However, these flights do not come with any special lounge privileges. This has changed.American Airlines offers Flagship Lounge access or Admirals Club access to first-class passengers who travel nonstop between these cities:Dallas (DFW), and Honolulu, (HNL).Dallas (DFW), and Kona (KOA).Dallas (DFW), Maui (OGG).Chicago (ORD), Honolulu, (HNL).Charlotte (CLT), Honolulu, (HNL).Nonstop premium transcontinental flight between these cities is the only nonstop domestic route that can be granted lounge access.New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX),New York (JFK), and San Francisco (SFO).New York (JFK), Orange County (SNA).Los Angeles (LAX), and Miami (MIA).American business class on the 7777Please note that AAdvantage elite members don't get lounge access on domestic routes. This is due to the service class you are traveling in.Admirals Clubs will be available to all eligible customers immediately. However, Americans Flagship Lounges remain closed at the moment. Americans Flagship Lounge Miami will reopen in September 2021. The remaining Flagship Lounges will open gradually through fall 2021.
