Apple TV+ will debut a movie version of "Come From Away", the Broadway musical, Apple announced today."Come From Away" is the story of thousands of people left homeless in Gander, Newfoundland following the September 11th attacks."Come From Away" is the story of 7,000 people who are stranded in Gander, Newfoundland following the September 11th 2001 flight cancellations. The Newfoundlanders welcome "come from far" to their communities in the aftermath. They help passengers and locals process the events and find love, laughter, and new hope in the unexpected and lasting bonds they create.Christopher Ashley directed the Broadway original production of "Come From Away", and the ensemble cast was led by Broadway performers.Apple claims that the live performance of "Come From Away", performed by Apple, was recorded in May at New York's Gerald Schoenfeld Theater for a crowd of 9/11 survivors and front-line workers.
