It is my personal favorite business credit card. This card can be used for everyday non-bonused spending. There are no caps on the number of rewards you can earn. There is a way to maximize the rewards.Chase Ink Unlimited Card Basics August 2021The Chase Ink Business Unlimited card is the third card in Chase's Ink business card portfolio. This card offers so much, from purchase protection to rewards. This card is different from other cards in that you will need to be able to understand what you are doing in order to get the best value.Chase Ink Unlimited: $750 or 75,000 PointsAfter spending $7,500 within the first three months of opening an account with Ink Business Unlimited, you will receive a $750 cash bonus.Although $750 cashback is a great bonus, I will explain how you can turn $750 cashback into 75,000 Ultimate Rewards Points, which I value at $1275. This is a huge bonus. This is the most generous bonus that we have ever seen publicly on the card. It is rare to find a card with a bonus this generous on a card that has no annual fees.Enjoy amazing travel experiences with 75,000 pointsChase Ink Business Cards EligibilityInk Preferred, Ink cash, and Ink Unlimited are three of the Ink credit cards Chase offers to business customers. You can have them all and you even get the bonus. I have three of these cards, for example.Chase 5/24 RuleChase uses a rule called the 5/24 rule. This means that you won't usually be approved for the card if five or more cards have been opened in the last 24 months. If you apply for the card, ensure that youre not over this limit. Good news: a Chase business card does not count towards this limit. Here's how to check your 5/24 status and here are the general rules for applying for Chase business cards.Chase Ink Unlimited has no annual feeChase Ink Business Unlimited does not have an annual fee. This is a great deal. This card is great for long-term use and doesn't cost anything.Chase Ink Unlimited Offers 1.5% Cashback on All PurchasesInk Business Unlimited claims to offer unlimited 1.5% cashback. This isn't really that great, as there are other cards that can earn 2% cashback. There is a way to convert 1.5% cash back into 1.5x Ultimate Reward points per dollar. My valuation values Ultimate Rewards points at 1.7c each. This means that you suddenly get a return from 1.5% to 2.55%.Ultimate Rewards gives you more value for your credit card rewards3% Foreign Transaction FeesThe Chase Ink Unlimited card is great for US purchases, but the card has 3% foreign transaction fees. I don't recommend this card to anyone outside of the United States. The Ink Business Preferred credit card is a comparable card that does not charge foreign transaction fees.Ink Unlimited 0% Intro APRInk Business Unlimited offers 0% intro interest on all purchases within the first 12 month. It is best to pay it off within the first 12 months. After that, the variable APR will be 13.24% - 19.24% depending on your creditworthiness.Although this is not something I value personally, I know it's something that many small businesses appreciate when they make big purchases. How to Maximize Ink UnlimitedThe Ink Business Unlimited points earning have been a bit vague up until now. The card earns 1.5% cashback, which isn't extraordinary, as I mentioned. There is a way to earn even more rewards with this card.Turning Cash Back Into Ultimate Rewards PointsThe Ink Business Unlimited card is a cash-back card. However, the card actually earns points. Each dollar spent earns 1.5x points. Each point can then be used to redeem for one cent cash back. Chase arrived at 1.5% cash back by valuing the card that way. Here's where you can dramatically increase the value your Chase Ink Unlimited points. You can get even more value if you use the Ink Business Unlimited with another card that earns premium Ultimate Reward points. Ink Business UnlimitedThe Ink Unlimited may be the best option. American Express offers the Blue Business Plus Credit card, with no annual fee. It also has 2x Membership Rewards points for every $50,000 spent each year. It's my favorite card for everyday business spending. However, you can only earn 2x points on your first $50,000 per calendar year. This is a very restrictive policy for many businesses. The Blue Business Plus bonus is not as generous as Ink Unlimited's welcome bonus. Both cards are mine.
