Google leaks unannounced Nest security cameras on its own online store

Google appears to have leaked unannounced Nest security camera models right from its online store. Eric, thanks for the tip! Google had already confirmed that it would release a new line of security cameras in January. It seems that the company's online store has just revealed the details. The new devices include an outdoor and indoor battery-powered Nest Cam, a Nest Cam equipped with floodlight, a Nest Cam with floodlight, and an indoor wired Nest Cam. We can also see a battery-powered Nest Doorbell. We tried to click the Learn More and Buy links to purchase these devices but the site directed us back to the main Google Store homepage. It seems they may be available earlier than expected. If they are available, the new additions will fill in some gaps in Google's security camera line-up. Amazon's Ring popularized the idea of a video doorbell that has a battery. This is a device that can be used in many more places than a camera that needs constant power. Google currently discourages external batteries being used with connected security cameras.Ring was also the inventor of one of the first connected floodlight cameras. Recently, Ring released a new floodlight camera. Eufy, Arlo and other vendors sell them as well.Google did not respond to a request for comments.Google accidentally leaked the Nest Hub Max smart home product weeks before its announcement. This is not the first time Google has done this. These new listings for security cameras have been already posted to the online store, which could suggest that an announcement is imminent.Send us any information about Nest products!
