Biden calls on Cuomo to resign after bombshell sexual harassment report

WASHINGTON - President Joe Biden called for Democratic New York Governor. Andrew Cuomo must resign Tuesday after an official report revealed that Cuomo had sexually harassed 11 women.Biden stated to reporters at the White House that he should resign.Biden was asked if Cuomo should resign if the state legislature decides to impeach him.Soon after Biden's reply, Carl Heastie (Democratic New York State House Speaker) announced that the chamber would quickly complete its impeachment investigation into the governor.Biden joined almost every major Democratic lawmaker in Albany and Washington when he called on Cuomo's resignation. Biden's demands are more important than those of others because they come from the top of the party leadership.CNBC did not reach Cuomo's Press Office to comment on President's comments.Letitia James, state attorney general, released Tuesday's report. It summarizes a month-long investigation and concludes that Cuomo "sexually harassed multiple female victims and violated federal law," James stated at a press conference.
