After leaving Crystal Palace, Celtic has signed Joe Hart, Tottenham Hotspur's goalkeeper, and James McCarthy as a midfielder.
Hart, 34, signed a three year contract while Ireland International McCarthy has agreed to a four-year agreement.
Both could be available to play against FK Jablonec in Thursday's Europa League qualifier.
Manager Ange Postecoglou stated, "I'm thrilled that we have signed two top players in Joe and James."
"Both of them have a lot of experience at club and international levels, and that can only be a benefit to the squad. I look forward to working alongside both of them."
Postecoglou repeatedly called for reinforcements following a difficult start to the Celtic tenure.
His team were eliminated from Champions League qualifying by Danish side Midtjylland and lost their Scottish Premiership opener against Hearts on Saturday.
Hart, who is a 75-year-old England captain, made 10 Spurs appearances last season, including eight in the Europa League, and two in FA Cup.
The former Manchester City goalkeeper stated that "this is a wonderful moment in my career and it's an absolute delight to be joining a club like Celtic."
McCarthy, a former Hamilton Academical midfielder, made 10 starts last season for Palace in an injury-hit campaign before he was released by Selhurst Park as an unrestricted agent.
The Glasgow-born midfielder stated that signing for Celtic was a great feeling and it is a special moment for him and his family.
"I know everything about the club, its size, and the great success it has enjoyed, especially in recent years."
