Ric Flair, a legend in wrestling, has resigned from WWE. The Nature Boy was released by his contract, the company confirmed to TMZ Sports.Flair is a legend in the ring. He's a 16 time world champion and a fan favorite ever since he joined the World Wrestling Federation back in 1991.Flair is not the first to leave McMahon’s company -- he left WCW in 1993 and returned to WWF in 2001.Flair, 72 years old, enjoyed a cup of coffee with several promotions in the '00s, including Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and Ring of Honor. He then returned to WWE in 2012. He was with WWE until this week.Although Naitch is a well-known wrestler, the move isn't shocking. This is despite Flair signing with WWE last May.Flair said at the time to Wrestling, Inc., “Well it's for life, but I hope [WWE] keeps renewing me." It's impossible to know what the future holds, but I wouldn't mind going anywhere else if they don't renew my contract."According to our sources, the split was in the works... but both sides reached an agreement last week.
