Amazon Studios today announced its new TV series, J.R.R. The first season of Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings is now complete. Amazon states that the season will premiere on September 2, 2022. "New episodes are available every week," Amazon says.Amazon also tweeted one of the initial visuals for the series. It can be seen above. The image depicts a person looking out over a fantasy landscape from a field.Although thirteen months may seem long between filming the final episode and airing the series, a series such as this will likely have many visual effects that can contribute to a longer post-production time. The season was in production since the beginning of 2020. However, delays were caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The series will debut exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. The series has been renewed for a second year. The new series, which does not have a title, takes place in the Second Age. This time period is often mentioned in The Lord of the Rings. However, it has not been shown onscreen except for a few flashbacks. These flashbacks included the opening battle scene of Peter Jackson’s The Fellowship of the Ring. This sequence ends the centuries-long Second Age. It marks the start of the Third Age. That is where The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings movies and books take place.Although the series features a large cast, many of them are not well-known stars like Sean Bean or Elijah Wood. It's important to note that several relative unknowns rose to fame in the movies, such as Orlando Bloom and Viggo Mortensen. J.D. J.D.
