These are two outside lawyers who were assigned to lead the investigation by New York Attorney general Letitia James. According to the newspaper, Cuomo confronted Kim about his past investigations and questioned his objectivity during some parts of the interview. The interview is confidential because it is part of an ongoing state investigation. However, five sources briefed about the encounter agreed to speak with the Times under the condition that their identities not be revealed. According to the Times, the inquiry is expected to conclude this summer. After that, investigators will publish a highly anticipated report that could irretrievably harm Cuomos' political career. Cuomo has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct. However, he did apologize in February for any insensitive comments or too personal remarks.
