Indiana Pacers to re-sign T.J. McConnell to four-year, $35.2 million deal, agent says

According to Priority Sports agent Mark Bartelstein, T.J. McConnell agreed to a four year, $35.2 million contract to remain with the Indiana Pacers. According to Wojnarowski, Torrey Craig is also being added to the Pacers by his agent Austin Brown and Dave Spahn of CAA Sports, he agreed to a $10 million two-year deal. McConnell, 29 years old, averaged 8.6 points and 1.9 steals for Indiana this season. He also tied his career record with 6.6 assists. McConnell is one of Sam Hinkie’s "Process” teams with the Philadelphia 76ers. He has transformed himself into a top backup point guard for Indiana, a role he played admirably in each of his two seasons. Although he doesn't shoot from 3-point range often, he shot more than 50% in each of his past three seasons. His combination of defensive prowess and safe stewardship has made him the rotation guard many teams, especially those that can surround him by shooters, are looking for to get into the playoffs. Craig, 30 years old, averaged 7.2 points per game and 4.8 rebounds over 32 games last season for the Phoenix Suns. This report was contributed by Tim Bontemps, ESPN.
