Chris Paul agrees to stay with Phoenix Suns, securing four-year deal that could be worth up to $120 million, his agents say

According to his agents Ty Sullivan and Steve Heumann, Chris Paul, the Phoenix Suns All Star guard, has agreed to a four-year deal worth up to $120 million. The 16-year NBA veteran scored 21.8 points per game on 54.4% shooting, and 8.2 assists per match for the Suns in the NBA Finals. He was defeated by the Milwaukee Bucks.A source said that Paul will be available for training camp next season, having had wrist surgery. Marc J. Spears of ESPN's The Undefeated reported Monday that Paul was expected to be ready. The source claimed that Paul underwent the procedure after the NBA Finals. During the NBA Finals, Paul was seen with tape on his left wrist.Paul declined the $44 million option to play next season. He is an 11-time All-Star. This season, he averaged 16.4 point on 49.9 percent shooting (39.9 percent from three), 8.9 assists, and 1.4 steals per match. He won't be able to get more of the apple and this could determine whether he will end his career with an NBA championship.Paul seemed to hint at an interest in staying in Phoenix after the Suns' loss in Game 6 in the NBA Finals. Evidently, he meant what he said.He said, "I think that for me, I just have to look at myself and figure how I can get better, what could I have done more, and make sure I return next season ready to go again."This report was contributed by Dave McMenamin, ESPN Staff Writer, and Ramona Shelburne, ESPN Senior Writer.
